Share the warmth

This winter, many children in safe-homes, foster homes, and disadvantaged communities are facing the cold without the essentials needed to stay warm and nourished.

You can make a difference in one of the following ways:

  • Donate R300 or any amount towards a Winter Pack
  • Donate gently used winter clothing & blankets (clean and in good condition)
  • Donate non-perishable food items to support warm meals

Each contribution helps provide:

  • Warm meals
  • Jackets & blankets
  • Beanies, gloves & socks
  • Comfort and care for children in need

Together, we can help ensure no child is left in the cold this winter.

Student Sponsor

iCare Children’s Foundation selects students from special needs schools, hifth schools and orphans in need of sponsorship for their school and transport fees.

We also give a monetary donation to the safehomes and foster homes we support to assist with the children’s travelling costs. Our yearly campaign, Adopt a Student, gives our donors the opportunity to support a student by contributing R750 per month towards his or her school fees and transport cost.

Adopt a Safehouse

iCare acknowledges that housemothers face ongoing monthly expenses and basic needs that cannot be covered by the limited government grant they receive. The Foster Child Grant amounts to R1120 per child, which equates to just R37 per day, an amount insufficient to provide even three meals a day for one child, let alone cover additional essential costs such as electricity, water, hygiene products, and transport.

The Adopt a Safe Home Project is designed to ease this financial burden on safe-home and foster home housemothers. Through this initiative, a monthly contribution of R1500 per child is provided to support essential needs, including food, clothing, toiletries, utilities, maintenance, education, and transport.
